Items to bring
- Race bib
- Gear deposit bags (if necessary)
- Sash – Runner 1 must bring sash given during Race Entry Pack Collection. This will be used as a “baton” to pass on to subsequent runners at the changeover zones
All Ekiden Team Runners can access the gear deposit service at the F1 Pit Garages or Runner 1 can help to deposit on behalf of Runners 2-5. (Please note that Runners 1-5 must use their own gear deposit bag.) There will not be a gear deposit service at each changeover point.
Please ensure all bags deposited are collected. All bag deposit rules apply (only the bags provided at REPC will be accepted).
Runner 1-5 must personally collect their gear deposit bag. You will not be able to ask your team member to help collect your bag after the event.
Runners must fix the provided gear bag sticker to the front of their gear bag. Ensure you leave home prepared with your gear bag sticker fixed to your bag, and the items you want packed in your gear bag.
All five runners will get a medal upon completing the race. The 5th and final runner will collect all five medals on behalf of the team.
Plan Your Journey
Each of you will be reporting to different locations to start your leg of the relay. The following are some suggestions on how you can get to these points. Please plan your journey appropriately and give yourselves ample time to drop your bags at bag deposit (if needed), get to your starting point and get ready for your race.
After you have completed your leg of the relay, you and your Ekiden team mates are not required to reunite. But if you want to reunite as a team, please head to the post-race zone at the F1 Pit Building. This area will be open to all athletes and members of the public post-race. If you want to watch your last runner cross the Finish Line, you can head to the spectator areas at The Float. However, please note that Ekiden Runners 1 – 4 are not allowed to go on course or enter the Athlete Recovery area at The Float.
The Transport Hub, located near the F1 Pit Building, is where Ekiden shuttle buses will pick up and drop off runners.
How to get to the Transport Hub:
- Walk 5-8 min from the F1 Pit Building, towards Raffles Boulevard
- Take the MRT (Promenade Station Exit A or C) & walk 5-8 min towards Raffles Boulevard
