ABOUT

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon is proud to organise the Singapore National Championship, in partnership with Singapore Athletics Association.

The National Championships will see representation of Singapore’s National Athletes competing in the following race categories:

Marathon Singapore

  • Men
  • Women
  • Men’s Masters (35 year old and above)
  • Women’s Masters (35 year old and above)

Half Marathon Singapore

  • Men
  • Women

An estimated number of 10 – 15 athletes per category is expected.

ENTRY QUALIFICATION
(MARATHON 42.195KM)

National Champs - Entry Qualification (Marathon 42.195km Men)

Marathon Singapore Men
  • Registration period for the SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km will be from 27 April 2023 to 31 October 2023​

  • The qualifying window for SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km will be from 1 January 2022 to 31 October 2023​

  • Athletes will be required to show proof that they had achieved 2hrs 45min 00sec or less in a World Athletics or National Federation sanctioned marathon race within the qualifying window period

  • Any timed event not sanctioned by World Athletics or National Federations will not be accepted

  • Any timed distance shorter than Marathon 42.195km will not be accepted

  • Athletes must be a Singapore citizen and a current member of Singapore’s running club affiliated with Singapore Athletics​​

  • The field size for SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km is limited to 15 men athletes only

  • Not all qualifiers who submit their registration will be automatically accepted nor guaranteed entry into the event due to field size limit

  • Only selected 15 qualifiers or less will be selected to race in the SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km

  • All qualifying times submitted will be subject to review and verification​

    Marathon Singapore Women
  • Registration period for the SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km will be from 27 April 2023 to 31 October 2023.

  • The qualifying window for SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km will be from 1 January 2022 to 31 October 2023

  • Athletes will be required to show proof that they had achieved 3hrs 15min 00sec or less in a World Athletics or National Federation sanctioned marathon race within the qualifying window period

  • Any timed event not sanctioned by World Athletics or National Federations will not be accepted

  • Any timed distance shorter than Marathon 42.195km will not be accepted

  • Athletes must be a Singapore citizen and a current member of Singapore’s running club affiliated with Singapore Athletics​

  • The field size for SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km is limited to 15 women athletes only

  • Not all qualifiers who submit their registration will be automatically accepted nor guaranteed entry into the event due to field size limit

  • Only selected 15 qualifiers or less will be selected to race in the SCSM2023 National Championships Marathon 42.195km​​

  • All qualifying times submitted will be subject to review and verification

  • Registration period for the SCSM2023 National Championships Half Marathon 21.1km will be from 27 April 2023 to 31 October 2023​

  • The qualifying window for SCSM2023 National Championships Half Marathon 21.1km will be from 1 January 2022 to 31 October 2023

  • Athletes will be required to show proof that they had achieved 1hr 15min 00sec or less in a World Athletics or National Federation sanctioned marathon race within the qualifying window period ​

  • Any timed event not sanctioned by World Athletics or National Federations will not be accepted

  • Any timed distance shorter than Half Marathon 21.1km will not be accepted

  • Athlete can also submit their Marathon 42.195km timing

  • Timing proof for Marathon 42.195km must be 2hrs 45min 00sec or less in a World Athletics or National Federation sanctioned marathon race
