SCSM 2018 Training Programme

The SCSM 2018 Training Programme features a series of activities tailored to help runners train towards 8 & 9 December. Featuring Training Clinics, Drills, Pacer Run, Women Squad and the all new Nutrition Workshop, Get ready to learn from esteemed partners of SCSM, and train with friends old and new to achieve your personal best on Race Day! Whether you’re a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km or 5km participant, there is definitely something for you.

TRAINING CLINIC

Happening on Facebook Live, learn from our Official Training Partner – Coached, on how you can train smarter and better for the race. Coached will also share more on interesting topics for runners, such as how you should train effectively and scientifically, and prevent injuries during your run.

TRAINING DRILLS

Keep your physical and technique training in check with our running sessions and clinics. Join us and learn how to prevent injuries and improve your form during your run.

NUTRITION WORKSHOP

Join us as we delve into the science of nutrition and how runners can utilise this knowledge to eat better and sustain a healthier lifestyle and diet, with this all new workshop segment in 2018!

PACER RUN

Let our Official Pacers from Running Department take you on a bi-monthly pacer runs to train and prep your body consistently towards Race Day. At each session, our Official Pacers will take the runners on two routes – one for Half Marathon participants and another for Full Marathon participants.

Available for free to all registered #SCSM2018 ladies, enjoy a dedicated training programme leading up to #SCSM2018. Think training runs (before you progress to our Pacer Run programme!), workouts, talks, exclusive gifts and more!

Ben Pulham from Coached covers strength training for runners with Mark Stentaford. Mark is a movement specialist and we’ll get into details about strength training and its benefits.

Head on down to East Coast Park for a breezy run with our pacers from The Running Department. We will be covering 9km for Half Marathon and 27km for Marathon registered runners.
