GETTING AROUND SINGAPORE

By Train

Visitors can use the following options for MRT journeys:

1. Get a Singapore Tourist Pass (STP)
2. You can use your foreign-issued Mastercard® and Visa contactless bank cards
3. Adult Stored Value Smartcard (EZ-link / Nets FlashPay)
4. Passes and Smartcards can be purchased at any Transitlink Ticket Office
5. Download your MRT map here to get around Singapore with ease

By Bus

Visitors can use the following options for bus journeys:

1. Adult stored value smartcard (EZ-link / Nets FlashPay)
2. Singapore Tourist Pass (STP)
3. Foreign-issued Mastercard® and Visa contactless bank cards
4. Opt to pay in cash (do make sure you have the exact amount in change)

VISA & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Before entering Singapore, it’s essential to meet certain criteria. Here’s what you need:

1. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
2. Have enough funds for the duration of your stay.
3. Complete and submit the SG Arrival Card.
4. Check if you need a Singapore entry visa based on your nationality.
5. Provide proof of a confirmed onward or return ticket, if applicable.
6. Show evidence of entry approval for your next destination, such as a visa.
7. If applicable, present a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
8. If required, provide proof of prior entry approval, such as a SafeTravel Pass or Air Travel Pass.

Upon eligibility for entry, you’ll receive a Visit Pass indicating the granted stay period. Verify your Visit Pass before leaving the checkpoint.

Digital Notification of Visit Pass:

Starting from March 11, 2022, all foreign visitors will receive a digital notification of their Visit Pass (e-Pass) via email.

Check Visa Requirements:

Determine if you need an entry visa by consulting the list of countries or places requiring a valid Singapore entry visa. Possession of a visa does not guarantee entry. For more details, visit the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website.
